This is the part right next to Smith's. The south 1/2 was still behind temporary wall when I walked by. Note water dishes for dogs to left, and frame for "dog of the month" picture above them, on wall of "pre-aged" (distressed?) planks.

So, I wasn't ready for dinner, but noshed on the spam musubi (kosher - everything is glatt kosher, unusual for Hawaiian and Korean pork-based street food, with a heksher in kanji).  [Note:  Of course this is true, would it say it on the Internet if it wasn't?]

Ask for some of their home-pickled thin-sliced jalepeno as a garnish on anything.

Seemed clean and efficient, at Broadway & Pike Shell station.  ("Eat here, get gas" sign missing.)

Seen this afternoon proceeding west on E. Thomas Street, and making the jog on 15th E. and continuing on E. John St.  (Like the 8 and 43 do.)

Had happy passengers.

A young woman having tea with a stuffed mannequin.  Not sharing, though.  No cup for him.  Very cool, though.

I could hear it from blocks away, a brass band. It was the Rainbow City Band at the southwest corner of Broadway & Republican (just by the flower store), playing loud and fine.

They're looking for new playing and non-playing members.(www.rainbowcityband.com)

This bunny with a cornet gave me one of their brochures, which they were passing out about their upcoming marching season.
