When: Friday, October 9, 2009 07:30 PM - 08:30 PM
Where: Polish Home / 1714 18th Avenue / Seattle, 98122
What: Are you interested in learning more about Polish culture? Do you enjoy sharing information about Seattle? Have you ever wanted to be called a “citizen diplomat”? If so, the Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association (SGSCA) would like to invite you to its meeting tonight.

In addition to our agenda items, we will be hearing from an SGSCA member (and member of UW's Polish Studies Endowment Committee) on WWII Soviet Deportations of Poles into the Gulag. Refreshments will be provided.

The purpose of the Association is to promote educational, cultural, business and charitable exchanges between the city of Gdynia (Poland) and the greater Seattle area. SGSCA is seeking additional volunteers to help it plan and execute the many exciting projects slated for 2010, including producing the 18th annual Seattle Polish Film Festival.

Meetings are held the second Friday of each month at 7:30pm at the Polish Home on Capitol Hill. The meetings typically last about an hour, followed by an optional dinner social at the Polish Home kitchen. Hope to see you there!
