When: Friday, July 10, 2009 07:00 PM - 08:00 PM
Where: Volunteer Park. The performance and installation are located inside temporary office trailer located between SAM Asian Art Museum and the conservatory.
What: The installation displays stories with a global perspective on water use while the performance grows out of conversations with Seattle Public Utility staff and includes elements such as--evocative language Water Quality folks use to describe Lake Youngs water's taste (wet life jacket, hamster cage), the many terms for describing what's in those sewer pipes, and the three seasons of the water year--flood, refill, and "waiting for the rain to return." It also looks at how working with water impacts their private lives. Performance dates and times are: July 8, 9, & 10, 7 pm. July 15, 16, & 17, 7 pm. July 18 & 19, 12 pm.
