And now a poem:
A poet’s hope: to be,
like some valley cheese,
local, but prized elsewhere.

CALLING ARTISTS AND SHOPPERS OF ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE!
Enter the Broadway Farmers Market Art Contest and Show your Broadway Farmers Market Pride
In the Form of 2-D art, Written Word piece, or Photo.
Share with the world what the Broadway Farmers Market means to you! Is it the variety of fresh produce that draws you in? Is it the relationships that you’ve developed with your farmers? Is it the community-building that you have enjoyed? Entries can be abstract, whimsical, or literal—so long as they are appropriate for the market.
How it works: after a panel of 3 judges (local artist Patricia Ann Wilson; a member of the Cap. Hill Chamber of Commerce; and a guest mystery farmer) comb through the entries and choose semifinalists, shoppers of all ages who come to the market will vote on their favorites. The winners from each category will be displayed in a Capital Hill Artwalk this fall, will receive a gift certificate to shop the market, will have photos of their work posted on our website, and more.
