Hugo House turns to you to inspire future of Capitol Hill literary space

It has been 15 years since the ideas that created Richard Hugo House were formulated, set to paper and acted on. The old funeral home is now a cultural center to Seattle’s literary scene. Next Saturday, the Hugo community will meet to talk about what comes next. Here are details on the gathering and how you can get involved in shaping the next 15 years on 11th Ave.


How Does Hugo House Move Forward?

You are invited to join the conversation as we build the future of Hugo House together.

We’re having an Open Space gathering to create a dialogue around what matters to YOU about what we do at Hugo House. In Open Space meetings, participants create and manage their own agenda of parallel working sessions around a central theme of strategic importance. (More on Open Space here.) We’re going to convene around the question, “How does Hugo House move forward?”

We want to continue our tradition of connecting with our community as we look to move forward and bring focus to what we do best as a center for the literary arts. Here are the details and how to let us know if you’re interested in joining in:
