Corn on the cob roasted on the grill, dipped in butter, and finished off with a roll in powdery mexican cheese: muey delicioso!
A new choice for bar crawl snacking and closing time muchies opened for business on Thursday in the garage spot between Cafe Vita and Bimbo’s. The $3 grilled ear of corn provides an alternative to the cream cheese hot dog stands (three of ’em) located 1/2 a block to the west. The corn guys plan to be open Wednesday through Saturday from 8pm until 2am, or until supply runs out.
My little group had just eaten dinner but we couldn’t resist sampling an ear between us. The cheese dusting is genius, and a shake of the lemon pepper seasoning finished it quite nicely. There are another 8 or so shake-on seasonings you can try – – your choice.
This set-up is by no means taking the hill by storm, but I like the nod to variety, as hot dogs only go so far for me. Are these corn kings legit–and were they serving drinks? I will have to look closer next time.
That corn stuck in your teeth is gonna put a big dent in your chances of a last-call hook up.
cool idea, though.
I like corn off the cob, Niblettees in the bag with butter.
My addiction to street dogs is growing, late night dating circle, last chance on the sidewalk. Hint, flash a joint ….
they have the little floss stick things!
“they have the little floss stick things”
Right on. Smart.
