Seattle Central searches for a new leader – UPDATE

With last week’s announcement that interim Seattle Central Community College president Gary Oertli was leaving to take the permanent helm of South Seattle Community College (that we and the rest of the media universe except for these sharp-eyed guys missed), SCCC is holding a series of forums this week to introduce the community to the candidates to take the top SCCC job:

Hi everyone – as you may be aware, Seattle Central is in the final stages of selecting its new president. FYI, our interim president, Gary Oertli, has been named the president of South Seattle Community College.

Three finalists have been selected and they will be holding community forums this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (May 19, 20, 21).  The forums will likely be held in the afternoon, we are still finalizing details.

We encourage the Capitol Hill community to attend, meet the candidates and ask questions.

SCCC says they still need to finalize the times and the locations for the forums so stay tuned.
