Vermillion cellist plus pictures from the crowd

I've been a little cooped up lately -- finally coming up from a cold and needed to get out and see the Hill. Plus, some of today's news made me want to take a few pictures. Good to be back out and about.

Here are a few images from Wednesday night's appearance at Vermillion by cellist Lori Goldston plus a random flow of pictures from the crowd on a rainy February eve.

The prolific (and not shy -- he takes pictures of himself sometimes!) sea turtle added this as-it-happens shot from the Deluxe to our CHS flickr pool tonight.

Things were less calm at the Unicorn where man about Capitol Hill Matt Hickey can be seen, reportedly, eating a deep fried rose. Thank @deathmike  for that.

Back on the more calm but still fun side of the street, here's a look at the crowd gathered at Babeland to enjoy a visit from Babeland co-founder Rachel Vennin, author of Moregasm. You never know what you'll find kicking around in the @hotel_max Tweets.

Picture is not going to win any awards but we're not picky when news value is high. Neighbor Charles sends in this pic he snapped tonight of Chungee's logo. Appearance of a logo mean the new 'Drink and Eat' restaurant will be opening soon? We bet yes.
