Today -- Metrix:Create Space boots up for Capitol Hill hacker needs

Hacker geek hangout and coffeeshop Metrix:Create Space is slated to open for business Thursday at noon.

The space will mix technology, DIY ethos and good old fashioned commerce -- Metrix features 'equipment and supplies not typically stocked by the casual hobbyist,' as CHS wrote last week in this profile of the new venture.

Here is a look at the shop's centerpiece MakerBot in action:

Metrix is located at 623 Broadway E, below the DeLuxe and next to the Seattle Museum of the Mysteries.
