Instead I found hundreds of people, strolling from booth to booth, maybe about 100 of them, about a three block well organized street fair, eating, (great cheap prices!!) shopping and having a good time. There were three stages all filled with talent and variety. Brillante to give Entre Hermanos a stage, could have stayed all day for the out pouring of acts, singing, drag, humor, costumes and just plain no stress community fun.
The stage at Julia's was perfect, along the building with seating among the shade trees which would be across the closed off street (block long wide space). Good bands, two really excellent, good sound, what a showcase for local talent looking for exposure.
Well done to the folks who followed thru with a plan in just a few months, you MADE it happen with hard work, your money and some risk taking.
C. Hill has a new pride event, a Sat. street event, all good, no competition for the vast Sunday parade and Center happening, just a pleasant couple of hours and not requited to spend a fortune.
Good work indeed. THREE stages, worked perfectly. Three cheers to the first year!!! Yes, it was that good.
