Sidewalk Vintage – Sustainable, Local, Rock Bottom Prices

A quartet of enterprising young Hillites are selling used and vintage everything down at Pine and Summit today and tomorrow. They’ve set up shop in the parking lot of 1605 Bellevue, making good use of empty parking spaces and a prime location on Pine Street.

I talked to a few of the organizers, who said that they were holding the sale to help make rent and to close the circle of thrift. They’ve gotten their wares from friends, girlfriends, free bins, the occasional dumpster dive, and even passersby who have handed over items they had no more use for.  This accounts for the amazing prices – I got a nice hipster sundress for three bucks.

If you’ve got a powerful craving for some new clothes or CDs, or if you’ve got some stuff around the apartment you need to get rid of, make your way down to Sidewalk Vintage.  They’ll be located at Pine and Bellevue this weekend and next, or as long as the weather holds.
