Get your paper?

times

Unless you get the paper delivered (physically, not RSS), it was impossible to get a hard copy of today's Times or PI.   We walked all over the hill, only to find empty paper boxes on every block.  Every single cafe copy was gone, and we even got laughed at by a few convenience store clerks.    We found our copy (one per person, quickly running out) at the Seattle Times headquarters, and even got a 'commemorative plastic sleeve' for archiving our historical memorabilia.

Overheard at the Times,

"i don't know why we didn't print more"

"if only it was like this every day"

i'll get a poster instead
I think I would rather commemorate this eventful day with an Obama poster made by the amazing Shepard Fairey - he's the one who made all those great "Hope" posters you see all over the Hill. He just made a new one I like to call "Yes We Did" which commemorates our 44th president's historic win. I think it'll be available at MoveOn.org soon...? Anyway, I'm getting me one of those.

Delivered
I admit that it felt pretty awesome to go down to the front door this morning and see my NYT with its OBAMA headline. It's definitely a keeper.

Comrade Bunny,
There are still prints available at the Obama site - http://store.barackobama.com/Artists_for_Obama_s/1018.htm

I've got the Scott Hansen one, and I can't wait to get it framed with my absentee ballot stub.

Here is the link to the front page of the PI in pdf. Printing it on glossy/photo paper should make a nice keepsake.

**Comment edited to remove Times link since it wasn't a permanent link to the Nov. 5th cover. Checking with the Times to see if they are making the Nov. 5th pdf available online. Sorry about the bad link.

The Brushoff
Wow, could the Seattle Times be any more nonchalant with its cover?

RE: The Brushoff
You're seeing today's front page, not yesterday's. For the Seattle Times front page from the 5th, try here. Thanks, Maggie, for posting that on Slog.
