CHS happy hour was happy, more than an hour

Yet another CHS event photo blurred for anonymity

Fun to see so many neighbors last night at our little happy hour event at El Tajin. Don't know if it was the thrill of the forbidden (peppers can kill you), the presence of so many Seattle blog-o-sphere luminaries or our own charming personalities, but a lot of you showed up. Thanks for that -- parties are a lot more fun with a crowd of neighbors.

The whole thing left me so inspired, I created yet another list:

  1. El Tajin's reviews are crap. I'll leave it at this. You can get a beer or house margarita and three tacos for $9 at happy hour. And the tacos are good-enough real Mexican tacos. No Taco Bell bullshit. No molten lake of beans and cheese. El Tajin was a bit overwhelmed by our continually growing group but the staff rolled with the punches and made it work.
  2. El Tajin's house margarita is made for very large houses.
  3. The next time we do the happy hour variety of event, we're arranging for our own private happy hour for our entire session. CHS brings a crowd, it turns out. Be nice to give you neighbors a perk for being part of the fun. Any offers, local eating and drinking establishments?
  4. Our contributors and neighbors are the nicest people in the world.
  5. We're a real part of the community -- people that live in the neighborhood and care about it long-term. An attractive clientèle.
  6. 4 and #5 are true AND propaganda to help #3
  7. CHS contributors on hand: J & K and son, seadevi, final answer (+1 with city limits in attendance -- so, yes, all of hillku), Adam, Wesa, Inside Art Project, Dawggy and family, Yancy +1, Andrew Taylor, Uncle Vinny and Linder and family.
  8. Blog luminaries: West Seattle Blog and Son of West Seattle Blog, Scott from Central District News, and the legendary MvB from Seattlest.
  9. Yes, MvB.

Thanks for coming, everybody.

More pictures (thyanks Wesa!) in the CHS flickr pool.
