Update: Bumping back to top of things to remind everybody about our little get-together Tuesday night. Called El Tajin to confirm that kids are welcome (they are!) and make sure there wasn't any conflicting events with other neighborhood blogs, softball teams or mariachi bands (there aren't!). See you around 5p on Tuesday. As far as continuing the fun, we'll probably wind down at El Tajin around 7p -- at that point, a new leader will be elected to lead you further and farther into the night as I will be passed out in corner. Topic of conversation for Tuesday night: When and where for next event. Early planning means one very important thing: drink deals. Alas, no early planning this time.

---------------------------------
Neighbors, we haven't seen each other since December's CHS Book Swap. What happened? Thought that little soiree went well. Let's get together and see if we can't get back on track. It's summer. We need a drink. And, we have a special, favorite beverage-themed gift for hillku. See you on Tuesday.

Capitolhillseattle.com Mostly Happy Hour Date: Tuesday, July 22, 2008 Time: 5:00pm - 7:00pm Location: El Tajin Street: 614 Broadway E

El Tajin's reviews are all over the place so this should be, if nothing else, an adventure. Frankly, all I need from them is a margarita. You can do it, El Tajin!

I'm assuming a child can attend with us?
RE: Just wondering byjseattle2 months ago (0 votes) (report abuse)
Sure. There's a restaurant portion we can utilize. Or you can do like us and tie child to tree out front. Oh wait. They removed trees because damage to sidewalk. Guess the kids will just wander Broadway.

Please, think of the workout schedule byEmily2 months ago (0 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Can you guys take a poll for day preferences when you want to plan these? Most of my week is taken up from 5-8, but later evenings and weekends are generally free. I just wish I had some input on when gatherings are scheduled. I know polls usually create too much feedback and not everybody can be pleased, but I'm tired of not ever being able to attend anything.

Yeah, should have planned this one as group but July got away from me. Let's talk August -- day of week, time of day, place. Discuss. Then poll. Then discuss some more. Then drink.

This is one reason I'm actually glad it's on a Tuesday -- I work weekends (Fri-Mon 4pm-2am) and I am hardly ever able to attend things because of it. I know they can't work around everyone's schedule, but it's nice to have it on a different day this time.

We could roll on down to Bailey/Coy for a book reading! http://thestranger.com/seattle/Event?event=620076&sbk) Any book that gets its title from a Sleater-Kinney song has my attention. (I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone, about a girl growing up punk, by Stephanie Keuhnert.)
