Conditions:

The Director of DPD is convening the Design Review Board for an early design guidance meeting. The proposal is for a four-story, 52 unit residential building with 2,000 sq. ft. of retail at grade. Parking to be located in below grade garage. Demo existing office/retail building.

The applicants have applied for Design Review related to development of this site. At the early design guidance meeting, the applicants will present information about the site and vicinity. The public may offer comments regarding the design and siting of the subject site; and, the Design Review Board members will also offer comments and identify those Citywide Design Guidelines of highest priority in developing the site.

Do tell, Chow. Maybe we’re country bumpkins gone city, but we think their dim sum and brunch is well worth a visit.

I’m glad someone else noticed this was happening. I posted on this development earlier this month. http://gaycurmudgeon.blogspot.com/2008/05/building-sold-monsoon-to-leave-19th.html)

I like the food but, fan or not, we’re going to end up with a new building and new businesses on 19th. Having looked at some of the developments going up with very modern architecture around the hill, I’m hoping that the developer is working to fit the building design and materials into the character of the neighborhood.
